3 charged for shabu

CEBU, Philippines - Three men were charged before the Regional Trial Court yesterday after they were caught in the act by policemen having a “pot session” in Barangay Pahina Central last Wednesday.

Nicholas Tamaya, Jetron Tomon and Niño Jacinto Coronel were arrested after a concerned citizen reported to police their alleged illegal activity inside a hut.

According to PO2 Leo Gallego, a woman informed them through telephone that the three were having a pot session in their place. The informant said she passed by a house half-opened and saw the three in the act of sniffing shabu.

During their arrest, police confiscated from the suspects’ possession disposable lighters, tin foils and tissue wicks that were believed to be used in the shabu session.

Police filed charges for violation of Section 12 of the Dangerous Drugs Act against the suspects.
