Man hacked for having sex with brother's partner

CEBU, Philippines - A man was hacked by his elder brother after he was caught having sex inside a cave allegedly with his brother’s live-in partner last Monday morning in barangay Liki, Sogod town.

“The victim was identified as Celestino Roflo, 29, single while the suspect is his own elder brother, Wilson Roflo, 35.

“Initial investigation conducted disclosed that Wilson hacked his younger brother several times with a sickle after he caught him and his live-in partner in the act of having sexual intercourse in a cave in the said barangay.

Celestino was then taken to the Juan Dosado Memorial Hospital in barangay Damulog of the said town, while Wilson voluntarily turned himself over and the weapon he used to the authorities.

PO2 Lope Arcillas of the Sogod Police Station said that Wilson has been coming back to their office complaining of the alleged “illicit relationship” between his live-in partner and his brother.

Arcillas said that because the suspect’s relationship with the woman is anchored only on common law, they advised him to break up with his live-in partner.

The mother of the Roflo brothers appeared at the police station to inform the authorities that they are not pressing charges against Wilson.

Celestino was also released from the hospital after receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, a man was struck and stabbed to death by two perpetrators while he was attending a benefit dance in barangay Sambag, Tabogon town yesterday dawn.

The victim was identified as Marianito Labidon, of legal age, married, and a resident of barangay Manlagtang, also of the said municipality.

The suspects were identified as Jojo Lambujon and Roland Pepito, both single, of legal ages, and resident of barangay San Vicente of the same town.

Initial investigation revealed that the victim was attending a benefit dance for the upcoming fiesta celebration in Sambag.

However, a commotion occurred while the benefit dance was ongoing. Lambujon was allegedly the one who struck the victim with a still undetermined object. It was Pepito who reportedly stabbed the victim.

Labidon was then rushed to the Severo Verallo Memorial Hospital, but was declared there dead on arrival because of the multiple stab wounds he sustained.

During a pursuit operation, Pepito was captured while Lambujon remains at large.
