Man charged for killing co-worker

CEBU, Philippines - A man was charged for murder before the Regional Trial Court yesterday for allegedly stabbing his co-worker dead inside a warehouse in Talisay City last June 15.

Richard Ogiaman has been charged for killing Crispin Campaner Canitan Jr. also known as Sunny Campaner Dumoghu to his employer after the two had a heated argument last June 15.

According to the witness, on June 14, Ogiaman and Canitan had a heated argument and Ogiaman threatened Canitan.

Hours after the incident, while Canitan was sleeping inside the warehouse, Ogiaman stabbed him.

The witness said that while he woke up to answer the call of nature, he heard Canitan asking for help.

It was then also that he saw Ogiaman running away with a knife and climb over the warehouse gate to the outside.

Ogiaman failed to submit a counter-affidavit to answer the charges against him and no bail has been recommended. — Jasmin R. Uy/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
