CEBU, Philippines - A man has been charged for possession of illegal drugs before the Regional Trial Court yesterday.
Barangay tanod Nemesio Rupinta said that last August 27 at around 7:30 a.m. while they were conducting a patrol at Noli Me Tangere St. near Central Lumber, barangay Ermita, Cebu City, they spotted Lucito Nudalo walking and holding what appeared to be a bladed weapon in his right hand.
Rupinta said that when Nudalo noticed them he hurriedly walked away from them.
Rupinta said that they hurriedly approached him, introduced themselves as law enforcers and placed him under arrest.
He was later found with a kitchen knife measuring ten inches long.
Rupinta said that when they further searched Nudalo they found and confiscated two small transparent plastic packs containing suspected shabu also known as Methamphetamine Hydrochloride inside the front pocket of his pants
Nudalo has been charged of Violation of Section 11 of the dangerous Drugs Act and is now under the custody of the police.
A bail of P200,000 has been recommended for his temporary liberty. — Jasmin R. Uy/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
