2 charged for selling drugs

CEBU, Philippines - Prosecutors elevated to court drug charges against two men arrested in a buy-bust operation for selling shabu.

Facing charges for violation of the Anti- Dangerous Drugs Act are Ryan Sanoria and Mel Richard Sen. The two were arrested during a buy-bust operation last August 9 in barangay Pit-os.

According to PO2 Gonzalo Matundo and PO2 Rene Remedios, they conducted an entrapment operation against the two after they heard of shabu selling activities in the barangay. Remedios acted as the poseur buyer together with an informant.

Since the informant was a regular customer of the suspects, they were able to buy a packet of shabu worth P300.

During the operation, Sanoria was allegedly the one who handed them the shabu and Seno was the one who received the marked money.

The two were arrested after the transaction was consummated.

The two suspects were frisked and another plastic packet of shabu weighing 0.05 grams was seized together with their mobile phones. – Jasmin R. Uy/JMO   (THE FREEMAN)
