Talisay, Naga cops not in proper uniform?

-

CEBU, Philippines – After Senior Supt. Jesus Gaquing, director of the Cebu Provincial Police Office, reminded law enforcers to respect and find dignity in the wearing of prescribed uniforms so that they will be properly identified by the public they are serving.

In Talisay City, Gaquing found some policemen who failed to wear their prescribed uniform. When he inquired from Talisay City Police Station chief Henry Biñas on the matter, the latter explained that the said policemen are assigned in the Intelligence unit. Next to Talisay, Gaquing would be checking out reports he received that policemen in Naga who conducted checkpoints were wearing short pants.

The moment Gaquing assumed office earlier this month, he reiterated proper police uniform in the conduct of checkpoints. This after he learned that some of those assigned in checkpoints wear dark jackets on top of their uniform. — Christopher Gabriel C. Bonjoc/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
