SWU partners with Japanese firm to strengthen Nursing program
CEBU, Philippines – Southwestern University not only secured a most-likely Japanese employer for its Nursing students but also quality education for these students.
Through a memorandum of agreement, SWU and the Momotarokai Social Welfare Corporation had agreed to help each other.
Under the agreement, Momotarokai will provide a Japanese language teacher for a five-month Japanese language class, a teacher for a five-month caregiving training and all of the teachers’ provisions. Through this, they would be aiding the university produce nursing and caregiving practitioners who are highly skilled and knowledgeable to work in Japan’s health sector.
This agreement is also a deed of support to the Japanese government’s policy of hiring Filipino healthcare workers.
On the other hand, SWU will assist in the documents and the safety of the teachers. SWU will also provide the venue and the facilities needed by the program.
“We continue innovation in our curriculum program,” said Elidigario Gonzales, president of SWU.
