CEBU, Philippines – A 36-year-old man was found dead floating in the seawaters off barangay Catarman, Liloan yesterday morning.
The fatality was identified as Roy Barusa, of legal age and a resident of the place.
PO2 Routchil Jugalbut of Liloan Police Station said that beachgoers informed them that they found a half-naked body of a man floating at around 9:45a.m.
When police arrived at the area, they found Barusa’s body was already bloated and that the victim sustained injuries to his face.
However, the police did not see any foul play behind the death of the victim but they will still subject the body to an autopsy.
Jugalbut said prior to the discovery of the body, Barusa was drinking with his friends during the Parola Festival in the place.
The victim’s mother, Apolonia, told the police that the last time she saw her son was on Sunday. – Christopher Gabriel C. Bonjoc/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
