CEBU, Philippines – A driver was charged yesterday before the court for reckless imprudence resulting to multiple physical injuries and damage after his vehicle allegedly hit a tricycle along the national highway in Minglanilla on October 2, 2008.
Charges have been elevated to the Regional Trial Court against Douglas Turtoza, the driver of a Mitsubishi Pajero, after he reportedly hit a tricycle and hurting the driver and two passengers.
Regie Paraan, the driver of the tricycle, narrated that prior to the incident, a certain Achilles Campos and his son, Ulrich Emmanuel Campos, hired his services.
He said that while he was ferrying the Camposes to their destination, a white Pajero hit his tricycle, throwing him onto the pavement. His passengers also sustained serious injuries.
Turtoza has been subpoenaed to submit his counter-affidavit on the case filed against him, but failed to do so.
