CEBU, Philippines - Three men were charged with murder before the Regional Trial Court yesterday for killing an Internet attendant in Talisay City last March 27.
Victoriano Abatayo, Gerald Campo and Junbert Reyes allegedly conspired in the killing of Clifford Abellana, 26, inside an Internet café in Tabunok.
According to witnesses Harry and Brenan Abellana, the brothers of the victim, they were attending the Internet café owned by their sister at 10 p.m. of the said date.
One of the bystanders went inside the café and for unknown reason pointed a gun at anybody inside the establishment. Clifford then asked the bystanders if they needed a computer.
But instead of answering, one of them Abatayo allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Clifford, hitting his left eye that led to his death. The other two suspects allegedly served as lookout.
Harry and Brenan said that there were six people who were conspiring in the killing of his brother but the others remained at large.
The witnesses identified the three suspects as they were not covering their faces at that time of the incident.
The three suspects are detained at the Talisay City Police Station. — Jasmin R. Uy/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
