CEBU, Philippines - Charges of rape have been filed by a 16-year-old girl against a former radio talent who allegedly raped her last year.
The charges have been filed against Anecito Donduyano, also known as Jess Lapid Borja, a former radio talent of dyHP, by the girl who claimed that Donduyano promised of “hiring her as a talent” in one of the programs of the said radio station.
In a sworn statement, the complainant said that on May 18, 2008, Donduyano arrived at their place in Camotes Island telling her that he is recruiting a talent for a drama program on radio.
The accused allegedly assured her parents that she is “safe in his hands” because he is “working with the media and knows about the law,” upon which, the parents of the victims permitted their daughter to go with Donduyano here in the city.
Upon arrival here on May 19, Donduyano took the girl to a lodging house on the pretext that they will just have to take a rest.
It was then that the accused raped her and threatened to kill her if she will tell anybody of what happened.
On May 20, they checked out of the lodging house and Donduyano took her to the Cebu City Medical Center where the live-in partner of the suspect was hospitalized.
From the hospital, the suspect took her to sitio Sandayong in barangay Guadalupe and stayed there from May 21 to May 28 where she was raped repeatedly by the suspect.
In the complaint, the respondent did not submit a controverting evidence to refute the charges.
“Based on the uncontroverting evidence, a prima facie exists against the respondent for the crime of rape and violation of Republic Act 7610 for eight counts,” assistant city prosecutor Jesus Feliciano said.
