Cops not rushing Osorio case

CEBU, Philippines - Police investigators are not rushing the investigation into the killing of Cebu City assistant prosecutor Patrick Brian Osorio last January by two men on board a motorcycle.

This was said yesterday by “Task Force Osorio” commander and Cebu City Police Office director Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador Jr. in response to the query of the public regarding the filing of the appropriate charges against one of the suspects.

Comendador said that as much as possible, they have to identify the two suspects before filing the appropriate charges.

The CCPO admitted that there was a delay in the investigation because they still have to get affidavits from witnesses.

Comendador said that they already identified one of the suspects last January but he would not say if it was the driver or the assailant.
