One of Consolacion's most wanted arrested

CEBU, Philippines - One of the most wanted men in the town of Consolacion was finally arrested by policemen last Saturday morning inside his house in sitio Pundol, barangay Tayud of the said town.

The subject was identified by the police officers as Glenn Arcayan Ibale, 32, allegedly a notorious armed robber and considered by the Consolacion police as one of the most wanted man in their area of responsibility.

The police team, composed of PO3 Lolito Dinampo, PO2 Cecilio Miñoza and PO1 Winston Magdadaro, was led by Insp. Jesus Elmer Nellas Fernandez, assisted by Liloan policeman SPO1 Ricardo Judaya who served alias warrants.

One warrant was issued by Mandaue City Regional Trial Court Branch 55 judge Ulric Cañete for robbery with bail set at P24,000. The other was from Mandaue City Regional Trial Court Branch 56 judge Augustine Vestil for a case of theft. Bail was set at P40,000.

The police said they fielded many officers to secure the suspect’s arrest as he has been wanted for some time now. They also said they expect a drop in theft and robbery incidents in the town with Ibale’s arrest. —Christopher Gabriel Bonjoc/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
