Suspected pusher arrested in Danao

-

CEBU, Philippines - An alleged drug pusher is now detained after he was arrested by police Thursday afternoon in Danao City.

The arrest of 32-year-old Jerry Batalona came after a surveillance operation conducted by a police team led by Supt. Larson Dechino following a report of his illegal drug trade along Olivar Street in barangay Poblacion.

During their operation, policemen spotted two men seemed to be transacting something with the suspect along the road.

The suspect reportedly handed something to one of the men, who then ran away after sensing the presence of the policemen.

The police then apprehended Batalona and confiscated from his possession .18 grams of suspected shabu, five small packs of suspected marijuana and P2,110 cash.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspect. — Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
