Man charged for sale of shabu

CEBU, Philippines - A man has been charged before the Regional Trial Court on Friday for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act last Tuesday.

Lorain Badajos was arrested on February 10 after allegedly trying to sell drugs to the police during a buy-bust operation in barangay Tangke, Talisay City.

According to PO3 Benedicto Lasque, Badajos became the subject of their operation when an informant told them that the latter has been peddling drugs in sitio Tunga, Tangke, Talisay City.

Lasque, who acted as a poseur-buyer to Badajos asked to buy shabu worth P300 using marked money, Badajos allegedly obliged and gave him the shabu.

It was then that Lasque announced that he was a policeman and held the suspect’s arms.   Badajos was then arrested by Lasque’s team who were positioned so that there would be no way for the suspect to escape.
