PRO-7 marks anniversary with giving of awards

CEBU, Philippines - The Police Regional Office-7 yesterday awarded outstanding personnel and support groups and individuals during its celebration of the 18th year anniversary of the Philippine National Police.

Recognized for their work were Sr. Supt. Vicente Loot as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration; Sr. Supt. Louie Oppus as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operation; Sr. Supt. Carmelo Valmoria as Best Senior Field Police Commissioned Officer -Provincial Police Office; and Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador as Best Senior Field Police Commissioned Officer- City Police Office.

Also awarded were Insp. Eric Errol Besario as Best Field Police Commissioned Officer (Municipal Police Station); Chief Insp. Carlos Lacuesta, Jr. as Best Field Police Commissioned Officer (City Police Station); Chief Insp. Romeo Santander as Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer; SPO1 Meliton Agadier as Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer; and PO3 Ian Laudebliss Quitayen as Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer.

Ava Zorilla was awarded Outstanding Non-Uniformed Personnel.

The Negros Oriental Police Office was awarded as Best Provincial Police Office of the Year while the Cebu City Police Office was adjudged Best City Police Office of the Year. The police station in barangay Parian was named Best Police Station.

Meanwhile, the Bais City Police Station in Negros Oriental was recognized as Best City Police Station of the Year while the Sta. Catalina Police Station was recognized as Best Municipal Police Station of the Year.

The 705th Provincial Mobile Group from Negros Oriental was awarded as Best Provincial Mobile Group of the Year.

The Best Women and Children Desk award went to the Tagbilaran City Police Station in the urban category while the Liloan Police Station got the award in the rural category.

The Regional Dental Health, Regional Intelligence Office 7, and the International Justice Mission were named Best National Support Unit of the Year for Administration, Best National Support Unit of the Year for Operation, and Best Non-Government Organization of the Year respectively.

Special awards were also given to 16 other personnel and nine organizations for their support to the PNP.
