-

CEBU, Philippines - The two minors accused of robbing and shooting a 21-year-old employee of Bigfoot Entertainment was formally charged before the Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor yesterday.

The minors, ages 17 and 16, were charged with robbery and serious physical injuries. They were arrested in barangay Guadalupe Friday night last week after being positively identified by the victim’s companion and by seminarians who were near the crime scene.

The victim, Pauline Denisse Osorio was shot and seriously wounded on the shoulder after she resisted handing her bag to the respondents past 3am last Thursday at the corner of Juan Luna Avenue and Cardinal Rosales Street in barangay Mabolo.

The 16-year-old respondent reportedly first gave a warning shot first but was forced to eventually shoot Osorio when the victim did not give in.

Osorio’s bag contained a laptop and two mobile phones. She is currently at the Intensive Care Unit of the Perpetual Succour Hospital.

Although they are yet to issue sworn statements, the seminarians from the Blessed John XXIII seminary identified the two minor respondents as the perpetrator.

The respondents had denied participation in the crime.
