Teenager shot dead
CEBU – A 15-year-old boy was shot to death by an unknown assailant who was wearing a bonnet last Saturday night around 11:45 p.m. along the National Highway in barangay Baliwagan, Balamban town.
The victim was identified as Junpe Legaspino, a resident of sitio buswang, barangay Nangka, of the said town.
PO2 Derwin Suico of Balamban police said that at the time the victim was onboard a pedicab going to his house. The suspect assailant casually followed him and without any words pulled out a gun and shot the victim three times at close range. After the incident the assailant immediately fled and was able to avoid responding policemen. Witnesses who saw the incident could not see his face because the place was too dark.
Suico added that for now they are not sure of the motive behind the crime, but he said it might have to do with the rivalry between the Crips and Bloods gangs.
