Capitol introduces new working hours

CEBU – Effective yesterday the provincial government has implemented the extended office hours and flexible time in all its departments and offices.

This after Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia saw the need to render full and quality service to the constituents of the Province.

Noli Vincent Valencia of the office of the Provincial Administrator said they can choose from the following work schedules for the week; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. then 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., or 8 a.m. to 12 noon then 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Constituents who have important transactions at the Capitol can be entertained even during lunchtime especially those from northern or southern parts of Cebu.

However, since all employees are required to attend the flag-raising ceremony held each Monday of the week, employees who opt to work on flexible time are still required to render service every Monday under the 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. schedule. — Johanna Natavio/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
