Murder suspect surrenders

CEBU ­– The man accused of killing a neighbor last Saturday in barangay Uling, Naga City, voluntarily surrendered yesterday noon at the Naga City Police Station.

Jonathan Pacaña, 28, allegedly hacked Wilfredo Mancera, 51, in front of the store of the suspect’s live-in partner, Melita Alferez, with a bolo.

According to PO2 Miguel Castañares of Naga City Police Station, the victim got drunk and slept on the bench outside the store when the suspect approached him and hacked the victim thrice in the head and body.
