No replacement yet for Comendador
Cebu City acting Mayor Mike Rama said choosing a replacement for Cebu City Police Office director Patrocinio Comendador is not a priority for now as he would rather focus on the Sinulog celebration.
Besides, Rama said he does not see any reason for Comendador to be replaced.
“Why remove him when his actions have been commendable?” Rama said after the crime rate in Cebu City reportedly decreased in 2008 under the leadership of Comendador whose stint is set to end in July.
Rama said that after the Sinulog he might give the issue a thought, but as of now he does not have replacement in mind.
Rama said with the weekend activities of the Fiesta Señor, devotees and spectators should not be attractive targets when they are in the streets.
