CEBU – Feeling lonely after her husband left her, a woman reportedly committed suicide by slashing her wrist inside her house in Poblacion, Argao town at around 3 p.m. last Friday.
The fatality was identified as Emma Rufo, of legal age and a resident of the said place.
PO1 Benjie Gerosaga of the Argao Police Station said that it was Emma’s sister, Rosita, who discovered her body sprawled on the floor.
Responding policemen found a wound on Emma’s left wrist, believed to be slashed by a bladed object.
Rosita said that on Christmas Day, Emma made an attempt to kill herself by slashing her wrist but she received immediate treatment after they rushed her to the hospital.
