Driver found dead in Carcar

CEBU - A 45-year-old habal-habal driver was found dead inside a hut in Carcar City late afternoon last Friday.

The deceased was identified as Proceso Lana, a resident of sitio Inayagan, barangay Tuyom, Carcar City. The hut he was found in, owned by barangay captain Leopoldo Alcordo, is located in sitio Sangi, barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City.

PO1 Renedo Villarias of the Carcar police said a man who was passing by got curious when he saw a man lying in the hut. When he approached the man, he found out that the man was no longer breathing, which prompted him to call the police.

Police said there was no sign of foul play especially that no wound was found on Lana’s body. Police believe pancreatitis or commonly known locally as “urom” was the cause of his death.
