Man, 20, hangs self in school compound

CEBU - A 20-year-old man was found dead hanging from a chico tree inside the compound of the D.T. Durano Elementary School in barangay Upland Poblacion, Danao City early morning yesterday.

SPO4 Teofilo Deguilmo of the Danao City Police Station said that Roger Tapayan, a resident of barangay Danasan, a mountain barangay of said city, reported that while he was on his way home he saw a man hanging from a tree.

SPO1 Ricardo Roble Jr., who responded the incident, said the fatality was later identified as Rommel Bin Lugas, 20, a resident of Danasan. Police are still trying to determine the motive for his suicide or if there was foul play involved. —Christopher Gabriel Bonjoc/BRP   (THE FREEMAN)
