Man caught selling 'shabu' in Carcar

CEBU – An alleged illegal drug peddler was arrested while his companions were able to elude arrest when police chanced upon their illegal activity last Friday afternoon in barangay Napo, Carcar City.

Juvie Wamar, 35, a resident of the place, was not as lucky as his cohorts who immediately fled upon detecting the presence of the elements of the Carcar City police.

Investigation showed that a team of policemen led by SPO1 Meliton Agadier, Jr. were conducting a follow-up investigation into a murder case in the area when they chanced upon a drug dealing activity.

But from a group of people, police were only able to arrest Wamar and recover from his possession three packs of sealed plastic with white crystalline powder inside believed to be shabu.

Another pack of the illegal drug was recovered from the transaction area together with a lighter and assorted tin foils.

Wamar is now detained at Carcar City Police Station while waiting for the filing of appropriate charges that would be filed against him.

The pieces of evidence recovered from his possession were brought to PNP Crime laboratory for examination. – Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
