Two alleged pushers arrested
CEBU - A man and a woman are facing charges for selling drugs after they were arrested early morning last Monday in sitio Boulevard, barangay Poblacion, Madridejos town.
Elements of Madridejos police station arrested Artemio Escalicas, alias “Tibor”, 49 and his neighbor Daisy Cap-atan, alias “Mardy”, 34 after finding them with packs of alleged shabu.
According to the investigation, 14 policemen from the said police station led by SPO1 Manolo Jo conducted simultaneous raids on the houses of the suspects for illegal drug peddling.
Jo said that Escalicas is the bigger drug pusher while Cap-atan sources from him and also sells to other buyers.
The police said they conducted surveillance on the suspects for two months before they applied for a search warrant from Regional Trial Court Branch 25 judge Edito Enemecio of Danao City.
Recovered from Escalicas were 15 packs of shabu as well as assorted empty plastic packs allegedly for repacking shabu.
Ten packs of shabu were seized from the house of Cap-atan.
The suspects are now detained while waiting for the filing of the said charge while the confiscated packs of shabu were taken to the crime laboratory for analysis.
Both suspects’ family members, as well as barangay councilmen and tanods, were present during the conducted raid.
