US poll watch tomorrow at SM Cebu Northwing
CEBU - The United States Embassy will celebrate democracy with Cebuanos as it holds “Election Watch” tomorrow.
The program will be held simultaneously at SM Mall of Asia in Manila and at the Atrium of SM City Cebu Northwing from 9 o’clock in the morning to 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
US Deputy Chief of Mission Paul Jones will host the event in Cebu where he will lead US Embassy officials and staff in welcoming representatives of the various sectors of the Cebu community.
The Election Watch in Manila will be hosted by US Ambassador Kristie Kenney.
The event will feature continuous updates of election results from live cable television feeds, trivia contests and information sources from the Internet.
Voting machines that use ballots similar to those used in the US will be available for those who would like to participate in the mock election.
US Embassy representatives will be open to answer questions regarding the US elections and its process.
The US presidential election this year is the 56th consecutive quadrennial presidential election which shall select the President and the Vice President of US.
