Girl accuses Stepdad of rape

CEBU - A man has been charged for violation of Republic Act 8353, otherwise known as the Anti-Rape Law, before the Regional Trial Court yesterday for allegedly raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter inside their house in barangay Mabolo last October 18.

The minor said that she sought the help of her cousin immediately after she was raped by her stepfather early morning of October 18.

The minor in her affidavit claimed that the accused woke her up around 3 a.m. and told her to lock their door because he will be leaving the house to look for her mother.

When she reached for the door, her stepfather reportedly suddenly grabbed her arms, hugged her, squeezed her butt, and kissed her.

The girl said she pushed him away and ran to her room but the accused followed her there and asked her to have sex with him.

When she refused to give in, her stepfather allegedly held a knife against her and threatened to kill her if she continued to resist. With that threat, the accused succeeded in raping her, she said.

The following morning, the victim sought the help of a cousin to accompany her to the Mabolo police station where she reported the crime.
