Minor raps Korean man for alleged lascivious acts

-

CEBU – Charges of acts of lasciviousness have been filed against a Korean national before the Regional Trial Court on Friday for allegedly molesting a minor from Banilad in June last year.

Sixteen-year-old Melissa (not her real name) and her aunt, who is married to a Korean national, sought the help of police alleging that the girl was molested by Ted Sung, who also lived in their house.

Melissa said that sometime in June 4 last year, when she was on her way to the kitchen, Sung grabbed her hand and pulled her inside his office. It was then that Sung began kissing her and touching her private parts.

Due to the incident, she ran to the room of her aunt who had a fever at that time and told her of what Sung did.

As her aunt wanted to observe Sung, she invited the Korean national for dinner along with Melissa and one of her aunt’s Korean friends.

In the car, Melissa said that Sung again allegedly tried to molest her.

The minor said that Sung touched her back and reached for her breasts but she freaked out and told her aunt about what the Korean was doing.

Melissa’s aunt reprimanded Sung and the Korean stopped. The morning after, Melissa’s aunt left for Manila.

In June 7, Melissa called her aunt to inform her that her ticket to Manila, which was in Sung’s possession, was lost.

It was only then when the victim’s aunt asked the accused to give back the ticket to Melissa that the Korean returned the ticket.

The minor said Sung does not want her to leave, which is why he kept the ticket.

Aside from molesting her, the Korean also allegedly sent her lewd messages asking the minor to have sex with him.

Due to these alleged lewd acts, the minor decided to report the matter to the police and has filed charges against Sung last Friday.

The charges were only filed last week since she and her aunt were in Manila and only recently got back to Cebu. — Jasmin R. Uy/NLQ (THE FREEMAN)
