Truck driver, son hurt in accident
CEBU - A truck driver and his son escaped serious injury after a dump truck they are riding drove off the road in Aloguinsan town while hauling sand to Barili town around 10 a.m. yesterday.
PO3 Jehazel Huyo-a of Aloguinsan Police Station said truck driver Oscar Morpus, 48, of barangay Lutopan, Toledo City and his son George, 24, only sustained minor cuts.
The dump truck, with plate number YEF-898 and owned by Josefina Tangu-an, drove off the road while maneuvering a curve in sitio Bogo, barangay Kawasan, Aloguinsan, and rolled down a steep slope around 100 meters.
Huyo-a said the place is considered accident prone and one usually happens every month, he also said the road is not bad, just narrow.
