Old woman found dead in Carcar City
CEBU - An 88-year-old woman was found dead in a wallow early afternoon last Thursday in sitio Cristorey, barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City.
The victim was identified as Cristina Barrina, a widower and a resident of the place. She was believed to have fallen into the wallow and eventually drowned.
The cadaver was found by a neighbor, Ernesto Badangan, a farmer, around 12:30 p.m. Badangan immediately reported the incident to the police.
Police investigation said Badangan was about to settle his carabao in the wallow when he discovered the dead body.
The police theorized that the victim may have fallen into the wallow and was later drowned, brushing off foul play as behind the woman’s peculiar death.
