Fathers reminded of role in family

CEBU - In line with the Family Observance Month, the Cebu Bantay Banay Inter-Agency Coordinating Council yesterday conducted a forum aimed at reminding fathers their crucial roles they play in the family.

“Magmalambuon lamang atong tagsa-tagsa ka nasod kung ang atong tagsa-tagsa sa kapamilya malambuon pod,” said Bantay Banay president Zemaida Amores.

Three resource persons spoke during the forum, including Dr. William Buot, a specialist in neurology who earned his degree at the University of the Philippines; Dr. Hermes Ibon, president of the ERPAT Federation in Cebu City and Mr. Roberto Quiño, chairperson of the Euphrasia Parents Association.

Buot talked about the impact a father can make in his family, as well as the ways in Christian parenting.

Meanwhile, Ibon discussed the three “A’s “of fatherhood, which tackles the concept of being “Accessible, Approachable and Attentive.”
