Fetus found in garbage
CEBU - A dead male fetus, estimated to age between seven to eight months old, was found in a garbage site on C. Padilla St., barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City early morning yesterday.
Garbage collectors Rogelio Sermillon, 38, and Dante Azucenaz, 34, both residents of the place found the fetus at around 6 a.m.
Police said the two informants were doing their daily routine of collecting garbage at the said area when they noticed a white plastic bag, and was supposed to put it in a garbage sack.
Thinking that it was meat, the two allegedly opened the plastic bag to examine it but were surprised to see a dead male fetus covered with some biscuit packs and coffee sachets.
This prompted them to notify the barangay tanods who in turn called up for police assistance.
The cadaver of the fetus was then brought to Saint Francis Funeral Homes for proper disposition. — Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
