CEBU - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency yesterday filed charges against man arrested for buying shabu during a buy-bust operation last September 13.
Respondent Angelito Arcaya was charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act for having in his possession 0.18 grams of shabu during the buy bust operation initially targeted on a certain “Boy Git,” a pusher.
Police said the operation was conducted the same time Arcaya was allegedly buying shabu from “Boy Git.” However, “Boy Git” was able to run away with the buy-bust money upon noticing that the poseur buyer was a law enforcer.
The authorities instead arrested Arcaya who, at that time, had nine packs of suspected shabu in his possession.
Prosecutor Anna Lou Cavada recommended P200,000 for Arcaya’s temporary liberty. — Jasmin R. Uy/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
