CEBU - An employee of Cebu City government and two men were arrested by barangay tanods of Pahina Central after they were positively identified by two women as the ones who robbed them along Sanciangko Street.
Detained at the Carbon Police Station are Herbert Vano, 27, a casual employee at the Department Public Service (DPS); Jerome Miral, 19; and Adriano Intoma, 23, all residents in barangay Ermita, Cebu City.
The victims, Jennilyn Novicio, 23, and Lovely Dela Fuente, 23, said the suspects were armed with an ice pick and knife during the robbery.
“After mi nag-Internet diha sa Sanciangko gisundan mi sa mga suspects. Una kadto nag-yellow ang t-shirt (Intoma) maoy gyud ang nagtion sa icepick unya kadtong duha nagsilbi nga backup,” Dela Fuente said.
Vano denied he was part in the robbery but the victims said he was conniving with Miral and Intoma.
Roving barangay tanods noticed the three suspects and apprehended them along Climaco Street.
“Kami duda mi nga sila gyud ang responsible sa mga tulis dinhi sa atong barangay. Ang atong gusto nga malimpyo ni ang atong barangay sa mga tulisan,” said Pahina Central barangay kagawad Sonny Gonzales, who chairs of peace and order committee. – Ramil V. Ayuman/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
