Robbers victimize three in Cebu City

Three branded laptops, a cell phone, and other expensive items were taken by unidentified robbers in three different incidents in Cebu City.

One of the victims, 22-year-old Sean Mi Shim, of Kangwonjo, South Korea, said her rented room at the Gonzales Compound, Gorordo Avenue in barangay Camputhaw, was robbed around 4 p.m.

She said when she was away unidentified men detached four jalousie blades of her window and were able to unlock the door.

Once inside they took her LG laptop worth P60,000, a Canon digital camera worth P10,000, a Nintendo playstation worth P8,000, a Seiko elective dictionary worth P7,000 and assorted jewelry and other items.

Meanwhile, a resident of Siguan Apartment, Sikatuna St., barangay Day-as, lost an Acer laptop worth P30,000 and a Asus laptop worth P40,000 to burglars.

Investigation revealed that unidentified men destroyed the padlock of the rented room of Gil Olana Jr. and took the items.

Scene of the Crime Operations teams were requested to lift latent prints from the two crime scenes.

The third robbery incident took place in Top hill, sitio Sudlon, barangay Lahug, Cebu City yesterday 5 a.m.

Richard Anacta Nicart, 28, of Banawa Hills, barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, lost a pair of shoes worth P5,000, sunglasses worth P1,000, a Jag T-shirt worth P500), two ball caps worth P600 and a Nokia cellphone worth P12,000.

He said the robber befriended him at a disco along Gen. Maxilom Avenue then brought him to sitio Sudlon where he pulled out a gun and robbed him. — Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/BRP
