Two shot, one stabbed in three incidents

Two men, including a security guard, were shot and injured while a 28-year-old construction worker was stabbed in Cebu City last Sunday.

Floro Gallardo, 32, a guard at the BSP Compound in sitio Kasagingan, Gaudalupe, sustained a gunshot wound to his right chest and back after unidentified men shot him around 9 p.m. last Sunday.

According to Gallardo, he heard five gunshots, two of which hit him in the chest and back.

“Akong duda kadto ning mga batan-on nga kanunay nako badlongon nga mosulod sa compound,” Gallardo told homicide investigators of the Cebu City Police Office.   An hour later, another shooting incident took place in sitio Bato, Ermita. Ronnie Buaron, 30, a laborer at the Carbon Public Market, was shot in his stomach by still unidentified perpetrator.

Buaron was sleeping when the gunman woke him up and, for unknown reason, immediately shot him.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old Delfin Gabutan, a construction worker, suffered two wounds in the chest and shoulder after he was stabbed by his neighbor.

The suspect was identified as Darwin Caballes, who is reported to be a long-time enemy of the victim.

“Dugay na ni ang ilang panagsungi unya pag-abot nila duha nibalik ang ilang panaglalis, unya nigamit ang suspect ug buwang sa manok sa pagdungab sa biktima,” said homicide investigator SPO4 Alex Dacua.
