A British national was killed after he was shot by three unidentified men during a robbery in barangay Lipata in Minglanilla town the other day.

Police identified the victim as 42-year-old Luke Isaacs who was presently residing in Sandayong, Lipata.

PO3 Allen Graciano of Minglanilla Police Station said the victim and his Filipina wife, Risa, was walking along the National Highway near San Roque Church when three identified men onboard a black motorcycle appeared.

One of the men got off from the motorcycle and reportedly grabbed the bag of the victim containing P7,000 and a cell phone.

The assailant tried to grab the bag but the victim struggled to fight back.  But one of the men immediately shot him five times.

The victim was immediately brought to Minglanilla District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor.

The police recovered three empty shells of 9 mm. and a deformed slug from the crime scene.

Meanwhile, Graciano said they are holding one suspect identified as Rodel Poson Istoto.
