Valmoria orders scoreboards installed at all police stations

Cebu Provincial Police Office director Carmelo Valmoria has directed all municipal and city police chiefs to install scoreboards in their respective police stations to give the public an update of their accomplishments and the programs of the Philippine National Police.

During the “Tapok-Tapok sa Kia” that was aired live over radio station dyDD, Valmoria said the scoreboards will in a way serve as guide of the public to know that their policemen are working.

“Kini aron dili maka-ingon ang publiko nga nagmika ang ilang pulis ug nagpaabot ra nga aduna’y mahitabo una pa sila molihok,” Valmoria said.

The PNP has established several flagship programs: the Oplan Tracker for wanted persons, Oplan Sagip Sangyaman for the natural resources, Oplan Paglalansag for firearms, Oplan Sang-ingat for preparation of activities that need security, Oplan Sandigan for criminalities and Oplan Banat for the campaign against illegal drugs.

Valmoria said that it is necessary that policemen should display their actions and accomplishments as the PNP moves to polish the image of the organization.

“Dako kayo ni og ikatampo ngadto sa publiko sa mga pulis diha sa ilang mga lugar kay makita man ang ilang agi sa nanglabay’ng mga adlaw ug makita usab dayon kung nianang adlaw wala ba sila’y gihimo,” Valmoria said. — Garry B. Lao/LPM
