Man stabs brother over karaoke row
A man was stabbed by his own brother after a fight over the volume of a karaoke machine in Lahug yesterday afternoon.
Police said Arnel Suarez, 27, a plumber and a resident of the place, was stabbed in the arm by his own brother Jay, 29.
Arnel was tending his store while Jay was drinking and singing karaoke with his friends Marvin Rosales, Gerry Sodera and a certain “Ricky” nearby.
Later, their mother Lolita complained that the volume was to loud and asked Jay to lower it down, but the latter just got mad and started getting violent.
Arnel tried to intervene and pacify him but Jay ignored him and they eventually got into a fistfight.
Later, Jay went to his room and came back already armed with a knife and chased and stabbed Arnel in the left arm.
