A 40-year-old barangay tanod who was moonlighting as security guard of an Internet cafe in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City was stabbed to death by still unidentified perpetrators.
PO3 William Humoc, homicide investigator of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, identified the victim as Arman Espinosa Apa, a barangay tanod by day and security guard by night at the Hat and Brew Internet Café located in the barangay.
Apa was found sprawled outside of the café with a single yet fatal stab wound on the left side of his body.
“Mora’g wa ta’y makita’ng defense wounds; naa’y possibility nga duna ni siya’y kontra,” Humoc said.
Apa’s wife, Gina, said that her husband mentioned to her once about a group of vandals he had repeatedly admonished. — Ramil V. Ayuman/MEEV
