Robbers take P25T from lending firm
Three armed men robbed the A-1 Financial Services Inc. along
The lending firm has no security guard or surveillance cameras, according to Helsa Sarines, 36, account officer of the lending firm.
Sarines said the three, who were dressed smartly, entered the firm pretending to be customers and later announced a robbery and demanded the money.
One of the suspects stayed by the door while the others approached her.
“Pagduol niya, dali man dayon siyang mi-ingon nga ‘kwarta’ unya mibunot dayon sa iyang pusil. Miingon dayon nga ‘ang kwarta, ihatag kadugay ihatag sa kwarta’,” Sarines said she gave them the cash box and hugged one of her colleagues out of fear.
The robbers took two cash boxes but the other one only contained a cellphone.
After taking the cash, the three immediately fled on two getaway vehicles parked some distance from the lending firm.
After they left, Sarines called up manager, Edgar Andilab, who then called up the police.
This is the second time that the firm was robbed. The first robbery occurred in their
Theft and Robbery Section chief Michael Anthony Bastes said because the robbers did not wear masks, bank workers were able to identify two of them from police files.
The two were Danilo Flores and Doroteo Imperial, from the Danny Limotan and Rey Torres robbery gangs.
Bastes said the two suspects were also responsible for robbing the Yusay Credit and Finance Corp. along Gorordo Avenue where they took P50,000 cash, the La Nueva money van heist and the Mactan Rural Bank robbery, all in 2007.
Bastes said the group is raising about P300,000 in order to put a bail bond of one of their leaders, Junnard Salidaga, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Mindanao. Salidaga is also facing several cases for robbery in
