Suspect in murder survives shooting
A man who has a standing warrant of arrest for murder was shot by two men on a motorcycle while he was urinating in Compostela town, last Thursday.
PO1 Necabero Balverde identified the victim as Noel Tidoy, 20, of barangay Estaca, Compostela, who was rushed to the
Prior to the incident, Tidoy was drinking with his friends in one of the stores in barangay Poblacion.
In the middle of the fun and drinking, he got up relieve himself nearby.While he standing at a corner doing his business two men on a motorcycle approached him and shot him in the head.
Tidoy’s friends immediately rushed him to the hospital as the assailants immediately fled.
While they were on their way to the hospital Tidoy said a certain “Taksan” of barangay Maslog,
Balverde also said Tidoy is a member of a certain fraternity called the Beta Gamma Rho and his attackers could be members of a rival fraternity.
Police have been looking for the victim after his arrest warrant for murder was issued last January.
