The Visayan Electric Company Inc. has scheduled some brownouts in three barangays in Cebu City on January 23 and 24 to facilitate some repairs and adjustments.
On January 23, from 8 a.m. to noon, a portion of Banawa, Guadalupe, including entire White Hills and Gardenville Subdivisions, portion of C. Salvador St. will have a power interruption so VECO can relocate a pole blocking a driveway.
Another five-hour brownout will occur on the same day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in a portion of Banawa, including Greenville Subdivision, Villa Salud I, Jesuit Retreat House and Good Shepherd to facilitate the relocation of a pole from a private lot.
Another power interruption will occur on the same day from 8 a.m. to noon in T. Padilla, including a portion of New Imus Road, this time to allow VECO to relocate a primary line to a newly erected pole away from the skywalk.
On January 24, Thursday, a portion of Beverly Hills along Canyon Road including Elisa Valley Subdivision, Taoist Temple, Short Road, First St., Grapevine West and East Sts. in barangay Lahug will be hit by a ten-hour power interruption from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for VECO to replace rotten poles with concrete ones and transfer some lines.
