Fourth district Rep. Benhur Salimbangon yesterday clarified that regardless of political affiliation, residents of the fourth district may avail of the “Benhur Health Cards” for as long as they have signed the form.
In a press statement sent to The FREEMAN, Salimbangon said health cards will be distributed to bona fide residents of his district, “regardless of political color.”
He said these health cards will be “of help to the beneficiaries as these will lessen the burden of hospitalization expenses.”
Each cardholder is entitled to subsidized medical services that cover out-patient and in-patient care with medical assistance worth P10,000. Benefits will also be extended to the legal spouses and children of the members.
Also, Salimbangon has authorized leaders in his district to sign on his behalf the referral letters for patients to be admitted at the Severano Verallo Memorial District Hospital in Bogo City and at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. Point persons have been assigned for such purpose.
Just recently, he signed a Memorandum of Agreement to put up P1.5 million from his Priority Development Fund in the two hospitals. — Garry B. Lao/MEEV
