Dumanjug mayor new president of LMP-Cebu
Dumanjug town mayor Cesar Baricuarto was elected yesterday the new president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Cebu Chapter, replacing mayor Ronald Cesante of Dalaguete town.
The election was held yesterday at the Capitol Social Hall with only 28 town chief executives from the province present.
Baricuarto expressed gratitude to his colleagues for the trust and confidence bestowed upon him.
He assured that he would lead by example and urged cooperation from among members of the league, even as he explained that they represent their constituents and not the league alone.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, for her part, expressed support to the newly elected president of the league.
Other new officials of the league were Aloguinsan town mayor Cynthia Moreno, secretary; Santander town mayor Wilson Wenceslao, treasurer; Bantayan town mayor Geralyn Escario, auditor; and Minglanillatown mayor Eddie Selma, public relations officer.

Meanwhile, Cordova town mayor Adelino Sitoy and Liloan town mayor Vincent Frasco were appointed executive vice president for external affairs and executive vice president for internal affairs, respectively. — Gerome M. Dalipe/LPM
