The Department of Education has launched the Oplan Balik Eskwela Command Center to respond to complaints and feedback that come with the opening of classes.

"It is very important that we quickly address problems and concerns that might arise to keep order in our schools come opening of classes. This is the underlying motivation behind the establishment of the OBE Command Center," DepEd Secretary Jesli Lapus said.

The OBE Command Center aims to serve as the nerve center for the efficient and effective resolution of questions and complaints that may arise during the opening of classes on June 4.

Dedicated hotline numbers are open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to receive enrollment-related concerns.

"Through our Command Center, we seek to deliver quick response to queries and complaints the public may have with regards to school opening policies," Lapus added. "This is just one of the many measures that the department has put in place to ensure the smooth opening of classes," he continued.

In line with the school opening, Lapus also thanked those who participated in the recently concluded Brigada Eskwela week.

"We express our gratitude to our parents, teachers and private sector partners for making this year's Brigada Eskwela effort a success," Lapus said.

"Although our Brigada Eskwela Week had already concluded, the task of ensuring the preparedness of our schools for this year's school opening is far from over. With the help of our Balik Eskwela partners, we will ensure the smooth opening of classes this June," he added.

The public may phone in questions or complaints through its hotline numbers 636-1663 and 632-1361 to 71, fax number 638-8641 or through the DepEd Text Messaging Service by typing in DEPED FDBK and sending it to 2622 (available for Smart/Talk 'N Text/ Addict Mobile/ Globe/Touch Mobile subscribers), or email [email protected]. - Jasmin R.
