Pacquiao plans bout in September

Two men were killed within minutes of each other in barangay Ermita yesterday dawn.

Homicide investigators identified the first fatality as Renante Cellan, 32, alias “Natoks”, a resident of sitio Bato of the said barangay, who was shot point-blank in the head allegedly by a certain Jeffrey Lausa, a resident of Carbon Market.

Police investigators said the victim was watching people playing “tong-its” in sitio Katsilaan of the said barangay when the assailant arrived and shot the victim in the head twice before escaping.

Responding barangay tanods brought the victim to the Cebu City Medical Center but he did not reach the hospital alive.

Around 10 minutes later, another man was gunned down while crossing Quezon Boulevard behind Unit 3 in Carbon Market,

Rolando Villegas, 30, of barangay Babag 2, Lapu-Lapu City, was killed on the spot after being shot by two unidentified men in the chest and left shoulder.
