Police said the victim was 33-year-old Yulie Eltagunde, a resident of sitio CCF in Buhisan who worked as house helper of a certain Mr. Ceñer, of the same barangay.
Scene of the Crime operatives, led by Sr. Insp. Rommel Daguno, that rushed to the crime scene identified the suspected killer as a certain Nonito Navales, a barangay resident who was reportedly a former live-in partner of the victim.
Responding policemen found the victim already dead and lying prone at a vacant lot near the house of her employer.
City Police homicide investigators, led by SPO3 Alex Dacua, said that initial findings showed that Eltagunde was washing clothes inside the house of her employer when Navales suddenly appeared.
Navales allegedly grabbed the hair of Eltagunde and dragged her out of the house where he slashed her neck with a knife. She died on the spot.
The suspect reportedly fled right after the killing and has been at large since. The police are now conducting a manhunt against him.  Norvie S. Misa/RAE
