A curious onlooker ended up being stabbed by one of the three men who were mauled by bystanders at the Pasil Fishport in barangay Pasil last Saturday evening.
Earlier, the three men were on a motorcycle that nearly hit bystanders in the fishport. The bystanders got angry and mauled the three men.
Jerson Lupian, 16, a resident of sitio Buwaran, barangay Pasil, yesterday told policemen from the Homicide Section that he was among the curious onlookers who gathered to watch what was happening.
Tanods of barangay Suba later came and restored the peace, but Lupian said that while he was about to go home one of the mauled men, whom he described as wearing a white t-shirt, suddenly stabbed him in the back.
As Lupian shouted for help the assailant and his two companions ran away, leaving their motorcycle behind. The victim was immediately brought to the Cebu City Medical Center for treatment.
The barangay tanods then brought the motorcycle to the barangay hall, it was later turned over to the Homicide Section for proper disposition.
During a follow-up investigation one of the three men was then identified as Marlon Boholano, 28, a resident of Gines Street in barangay Sawang Calero, who worked as a collector of a lending company along with his two companions.  Flor Z. Perolina/BRP
